Insulation Piercing Connectors (IPCs) are used in Medium Voltage Covered Conductor (MVCC) systems. They enable connections without stripping the conductor's insulation, offering reliable performance and ease of installation. IPCs are commonly used to continue the line over the pole, for tapping, or for network connections to extend the MVCC system.

Three Primary Application Configurations:

Covered-to-Covered IPC Connector

Covered-to-Covered Connectors

Configured to branch or tap power from one insulated MVCC line directly into another insulated conductor loop. Ideal for building urban or forest grid extensions.

Covered-to-Bare IPC Connector

Covered-to-Bare Connectors

Engineered to merge upgraded insulated MVCC spans into older bare-wire infrastructure. Features piercing teeth on the covered cable side and a clamping channel on the bare wire side.

Earthing / Grounding IPC Connector

Earthing / Grounding Connectors

Installed permanently at strategic utility pole intervals. They pierce the conductor core to establish a safe, accessible grounding interface for maintenance workers.
